Season Brochure
Client: Children's Theater of Madison
Medium: Print. This piece is somewhere in the vicinity of 24in by 18in, double-sided.
Description: The basic concept was to create a giant map. I gave it the look and feel of a 50's era classroom pull-down map.
Since it folded like a roadmap and could be used as a poster, the piece was inexpensive to produce and mail to potential subscribers.
I created distinct logos and wrote the copy for each show. The logos were unified by a rich color palette but remained fresh and bold enough to be used in black and white print ads throughout the year.
Something that carried over from my time working on catalogs was an appreciation for good order form design. In the world of live ticket sales, it's best to offer lots of prices and packages. This makes organizing a form in a way that is attractive, complete, and easy to use a particular challenge.
The piece is more than a few years old now, but it reflects my penchant for a clean layout with a subtle retro touch.
